Our Goals

  • Teach about the needs in our own community
  • Show kids how easy and fun it can be to lend a helping hand
  • Encourage the spirit of giving
  • Have fun doing it all with our friends

How To Get Involved

We welcome all youth! You can join one of our teams participating in a local event, help make lunches, or even suggest or plan your own great idea! We would love to hear from you. Contact us at fftoo@verizon.net or ask a friend that is already involved.

Our Events

Our events vary year to year based on the interests of the kids involved.  We welcome new ideas from anyone!

Corn Hole Tournament

Friendly competition to benefit Hospice of the Chesapeake.  This event was completely planned and run by our teens.

Jammies & Jackets Jamboree

Families donated winter pajamas and coats as their entry to the Skate Zone for a family friendly event.

Lifting Soldiers Spirits

Kids of all ages wrote messages of thanks and encouragement to our wounded soldiers at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Lunches for Light House Lunches

Teams of friends working together to pack bag lunches for Light House Shelter.

How We Got Started

We began in September of 2008. Friends Foundation had always been part of our kid’s lives. They saw all our work as FUN! We often heard “why can’t we have our own Friends Foundation parties?” And you know, they had a good point! Why not? We believe being active in fun service projects is what kids relate to best.
